Looking at the main genre categories has helped to identify each of the topics, but I feel I need to do more research into genre because I have seen films that have more than one combination of a genre. This will help to choose which genre combination I might want to do for my own project.
Film sub-genres are identified as the sub classes of the main category. The following list will show the many sub-genres:
- Biopics - the word biopic came from a combination of biography and pictures. Biopics are the sub genre of the main drama film genre. Biopics were really popular during the 1930s and still are, "The Iron Lady" is a recent example.
